Brandi presents, consults, and speaks nationally and internationally on topics including:

• Decolonizing and antiracist philosophies

• Jazz

• Blackness in American roots music

• Culturally relevant practices

• Organizational equity practices

Her research and scholarship focuses on antiracism, decolonization, and Black feminist thought Her published work can be found in Music Education Journal, the The Orff Echo, The Illinois Music Educator Journal, The Oxford Handbook of Care in Music Education, and on the Decolonizing the Music Room website.
